Do I need a referral to see a specialist at The O.N.I. Clinic?
No referral is required. You are welcome to contact us directly to book a consultation. If you do have a referral letter from another doctor, please bring it along โ it helps us understand your history and prepare for your visit.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit will begin with a thorough assessment by our clinical team. We will review your medical history, discuss your symptoms, and carry out any necessary examinations or investigations. By the end of your consultation, you will have a clear understanding of your condition and the treatment options available to you.
How long is the recovery period after joint replacement surgery?
Recovery varies depending on the procedure and the individual patient, but most patients begin walking with support within 24 hours of surgery. Structured physiotherapy begins during your hospital stay and continues for up to six weeks after discharge. Our team monitors your progress closely at every stage and is available to address any concerns along the way.
How do I know if I need surgery or if there are other options available?
Surgery is never our first recommendation. During your consultation, our team will carry out a thorough assessment and discuss all available options โ including non-surgical treatments where appropriate. If surgery is the right path, we will explain exactly what is involved, what to expect, and how we will support you every step of the way.
